    SAFIYE

    Safiye is a DJ based in Bristol, UK. Her DJ sets reflect many years spent on various dance floors internationally - her energetic bouncy style weaves together elements of house, electro, techno, disco and more. She has played at various UK venues and festivals including Glastonbury as well as Love International in Croatia.

    This mix builds from ambient electronic and progressively weaves through different varieties of dance music, from deep house to afrobeats, then finishes on some widely loved pumpers.

    LIGHT GAL

    Drawing influence from labels as Terminal M, Drumcode and 1605, as well as listing DJs like Cosmic Boys, Kaspar (DE) and Mha Iri as some of her many inspirations, Light Gal creates unique and exploratory sets ranging from dark and melodic techno to energetic peak time techno.

    Based in North London, she is quickly emerging as a talent to watch, with appearances at across Ibiza and various venues in London including Ministry of Sound and Corsica Studios.

    Multi genre selecter Merty focuses on the more bouncy and energetic side of dance music. The self-taught Bristol based DJ recently graduated from Mix Nights first intermediate course. She unites techno, minimal and broken beat with some garage influences to create some playful yet punchy mixes.

    bad pal lili is a South London native who mixes a global selection of underground sounds. Expect dance-ready blends of moody amapiano, baile funk, ballroom, experimental electro, ghetto-tech, bassline & UK funky.

    OK.DJ is a Bristol based DJ and keen explorer of the underground scene. She’s recently smashed her debut sets with Harmonia, an incredible femme & non binary DJ circle in Bristol. She loves mixing a variety of different genres including garage, bass, techno, jungle & more, and is so excited to be a part of the Red Rebel FM mix series.

    Trans dj m/f Lil Miss Sandi lives between London and Brighton, UK. Mixing many styles of rave music jungle, happy hardcore, oldskool, dnb, uk hardcore, breakz & has played at raves all over the UK south and midlands mixing both vinyl and digital.

    With a career spanning nine years in the world of music, Starseed Soul is a true virtuosa when it comes to the art of DJing and music production. Hailing from Bristol, England, she has crafted a name for herself as a versatile multi-genre DJ, captivating audiences with her passion for bass-heavy sounds.

    Boasting an impressive discography that includes three albums of her own production, Starseed Soul has also played some of the UK's most renowned festivals, including the colossal Boomtown.

    DEADSTEM

    DJ producer & guitarist based in Mexico. When creating DJ sets, Deadstem tries to tell a story by infusing each track with the creativity and energy that wants to unfold. The concept of "Deadstem" pays homage to the tradition of sugar skulls, which symbolize the celebration of life and death by representing the universal truth that we all find in the end.

    Having previously held residencies at Soundspace Radio in Mexico CIty and Acid House Records, her melodic techno set brings her own unique brand of the underworld to RRFM.

    ELL

    Bristol based Ell mixes Jungle, Jungletekno and Hardcore on this all vinyl mix. 1/3 of Interlude, a DJ trio who have been making waves in the Bristol scene for the past year as well as running Elysium, an underground electronic music event which aims to promote women, non-binary people and people of colour on their lineups. She spins ’93-’96 Hardcore, Jungle and Drums and more recently FreeTekno and Gabber to bring some stomp to her sets.

Red Rebel FM was born out of a passion to bring together underrepresented artists in the underground music scene & create an inclusive space to promote positive menstrual mental health.

Founded by DJ & menstrual health activist Lisa Higgins @theredrebelcollective we are here to bring you the best of underground talent from the U.K. and across the world.

We love a party and find festivals the best places to be free and open up our hearts to one another. This is why we are taking Red Rebel FM on the road in 2024 to combine all of our values together: community, self expression, fun, creativity, freedom, truth & acceptance.
